"grounded"

What a immature word? Very juvenile.
It reminds me of white teenyboppers who would curse out their mothers
because they bought the wrong Smackers flavor. "You're grounded missy!"

Who gets grounded anymore? It's 21st century. Either you have a mother that
beats ya ass or you don't. This in between 'grounded' stage seems so unnecessary.
